Instructor Qualifications and Credentialing Requirements

As an institution accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), Mason ensures the qualifications of its instructors meet SACSCOC and University standards.

The George Mason Faculty Credentialing Manual, which can be accessed below, provides guidance regarding documenting and justifying the qualifications of faculty and graduate student instructors at Mason. In addition, the manual clarifies the responsibilities of all stakeholders in this process (faculty and graduate student instructors, departments/LAUs, colleges/schools, Office of the Provost).
