December 15, 2025George Mason University will honor nearly 5,300 students graduating or earning certificates at Winter Commencement at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at EagleBank Arena on the Fairfax Campus.
June 24, 2025Fourteen George Mason University students, from a variety of majors, were chosen as recipients of the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship for study abroad. The U.S. Department of State’s competitive, merit-based Gilman Scholarship Program supports students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad, providing them with skills critical to our national security and economic prosperity.
July 25, 2022Honors College alumni, Abigail Hawkins, has been selected for the prestigious Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) for Young Professionals program. Hawkins, who graduated from Mason in May 2022, majored in global affairs with concentrations in human security and Middle East and North Africa Studies, and a minor in Arabic.
April 15, 2022Jasmine Okidi, a third-year University Scholar studying English, was selected as Mason’s first-ever recipient of the Beinecke Scholarship.
