Chris DiTeresi was named associate vice president for research integrity and assurance at George Mason University, where he provides leadership and strategic direction for the Office of Research Integrity and Assurance and its six major compliance programs.

Mason’s new policy for Instructional/Research (I/R) faculty on conflict of commitment, University Policy 4021: Outside Professional Activities and Conflict of Commitment, took effect on September 1. This policy and disclosure process are intended to comply with new federal regulations expanding disclosure and reporting requirements for outside activities.

For some, working on their taxes can be an anxiety-riddled experience, but for Anne Magro, co-executive director of the Business for a Better World Center and associate professor of accounting, tax is where she thrives. She’s so exceptional, in fact, that Anne was honored as the top tax educator in the nation, receiving the prestigious Ray M. Sommerfeld Outstanding Tax Educator Award from the American Taxation Association at the organization’s mid-year meeting earlier this year.

The Office of the Provost is excited to announce the launch of George Mason University’s Graduate Division. The Graduate Division will be one of the major units of Academic Affairs within the Office of the Provost.

Faculty Spotlight: Justin Ramsdell, Associate Professor and Forensic Psychologist

Anne Osterman was recently appointed Interim Dean of the University Libraries and University Librarian, replacing John Zenelis who served in the position for more than 20 years.

Darren Troxler has joined the Office of the Provost as the Executive Director of External Transfer Articulation and Chief Transfer Officer. He previously served as the Associate Dean of Admissions and Strategic Initiatives, Assistant Dean of Admissions, and Director of Admissions Operations in the Division of Enrollment Management supporting the university’s transfer enrollment.
